Sarah Owens - FNP-C
Sarah Owens brings her extensive Intensive Care Unit experience for both adults and children to our practice. With nearly 25 years in the medical field, she offers a wealth of knowledge, delivers excellent patient care, and feels most professionally fulfilled when she sees her patients are feeling better and have a better understanding of how to care for themselves and their family members.
As an active duty service member in the U.S. Navy, Sarah was deployed to work in the ICU, Trauma, Flight, and Emergency Rooms, as well as the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pediatrics Departments. Once she retired from the military, she worked in Emergency Departments in San Diego, California, before relocating to Northern Colorado.
Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from National University in San Diego, California, as well as her Master of Science degree in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner certification from Walden University in Minnesota.
An accomplished world traveler, these days Sarah prefers a “stay-cation” at home with family and friends, enjoying hikes, trying new restaurants, tracking down food trucks, shopping at local downtown businesses, and listening to music in the park. She also loves the outdoors, exploring new places and spending time gardening, especially with her family and two dogs. When she does sit still, you can find her reading the classics, biographies, and of course, medical-related books.
