Dr. Bryan Beck, an emergency medical physician who works in UCHealth’s stand-alone emergency rooms, is launching his own urgent-care clinic at 1159 Eagle Drive north of King Soopers.
Beck has set a target opening date of Dec. 22.
“It will be traditional urgent care for any urgent medical needs for people in the community,” he said. Those needs include fevers, coughs, throwing up, lacerations and bone and joint injuries.
“We’re definitely excited about filling that need of getting urgent medical care when you’re unable to get in to your primary-care physician,” he said.
The clinic will have digital X-ray equipment and certified X-ray technicians, he said. When he opens, he expects to have 10 employees, including a physician’s assistant and a nurse practitioner, he said.
NoCo Community Urgent Care will be open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Beck, a doctor of osteopathic medicine, graduated from medical school in 2000 and previously lived in the Detroit area. He has been in Northern Colorado for 13 years, he said.
